this project was performed as a design-build project with hallstrom construction, inc. as the general contractor and kth architects, inc. as the professional. this was the first attempt by the department of general services at a design-build project with the department of military and veterans affairs.
this 27,730 square foot steel and masonry structure was completed in 12 months time, complete with interior and classroom finishes, a 1,500 aquare foot commercial kitchen and a 5,500 square foot multi-purpose/assembly hall. this project was constructed to bring together the bradford and ridgway army national guard troops into one regional state of the art facility. also included in this project are a secured arms vault and a 2,500 square foot perfonal storage area complete with 157 individual lockers which makes this facility one of the largest in the tri-county area surrounding mckean county.
