in a small town of 6,000 people and this church's congregation of 200 in punxsutawney, a devasting fire destroyed this 115 year old church. a complete rebuild was undertaken, providing personnel offices, classrooms for sunday school instruction and a banquet hall with complete commercial kitchen amenities. when the site was deemed safe after the fire, many parishioners searched the rubble for salvageable furniture, fixtures and sanctuary elements to be reconditioned and utilized in the new facility. sanctuary lighting, the limestone detailing at the main entrance and all of the altar furnishings were gathered and stored in hallstrom's warehouse for future restoration.
